Justus for All
I have been on a Justus Kohnke kick for a while. There is something about his ambient disco-german pop productions that really hit home. I have selected several remixes that I thought were representative of his doppleganger style.

Justus Bio:
Extending his voracious musical appetite for all things avant-garde, pop, and dance into his own output, German producer Justus Kohncke has flirted with the charts (as one third of Whirlpool Productions, who had a hit in their homeland with "From Disco to Disco"), covered Janis Ian and Marvin Hamlisch, and has released material on the Kompakt label. Kohncke began releasing solo material in 1999 with Spiralen der Erinnerung (Spirals of Memory), an album that consisted solely of covers. Two years later, Kohncke joined up with Kompakt and released two singles between 2001 and 2002 (Jet and 2 After 99) and two albums 'Was Ist Musik?' and 'Doppelleben'.

Funk Art Let's DanZE!!!!
In anticipation of my new show for Viva-radio.com, I have decided to post some tracks from seminal leftfield disco label ZE records. In my upcoming show I plan on a 2 hr tribute to the label focusing on its Mutant Disco offspring. There are not very many "disco" labels that have created art with so much humor and imagination. The tracks I have selected are more obscure ones or remixes found on the Mutant Disco comps 1-3. I can't emphasis enough how great these are and how they really show the synergy between New York, Paris, and an imaginary tropical landscape.
Daisy Chain - No time to stop believing
Was_not Was - Man Vs the Empire Brain Building
Don Armando - I'm an Indian too
Kid Creole and the Coconuts - Something Wrong in Paradise (Larry Levan Remix)
Sweet Pea Atkinson - Dance or Die

I am humbled by the caliber of talent that is on Viva. Thanks to Matt for the opportunity and support. It has been a awesome experience so far.
Show description:
She talks in stereo is a story of an alien race bred in disco balls and cocaine spoons. They travel the cosmos seeking dance floor vibrations. Enter their sonic landscape and start talking in stereo.
Also I would like to announce that you can hear my show live at two different times during the week. Thursday's 1pm-3pm PST & my new slot Saturdays 9pm-11pm PST.

This compilation is an endless source of great tracks. For me this is a marriage made in Disco heaven, I have always had a love for reggae which was really one of my first musical obsessions and its paring of great disco covers you can't go wrong. The two I have selected are representative of the quality coming out of this compilation. Enjoy and check the disco reggae grooves.

Dipping into the Blogosphere
This is the inaugral post of Talking in Stereo. I hope to bring you some great music as we explore the cosmos of disco and dance music. Don't be too concerned this blog won't be all mirror balls and cocaine spoons. I am hoping to expose some great new music and some forgotten Disco gems. I will also be uploading mixes and special treats.
Thanks for joining me and lets start talking in stereo.
So as a start I want to throw some great musical nugs your way:
Mungolian Jetset-
The man, the myth, or as his mom knows him DJ Strangefruit aka Pål Nyhus. Here is a quote from Strangefruit from bambam radio 's great site. Definately check the rest of the site out run my man Oyv.
Quote: “The album is a trip through imaginary spaces”, says Nyhus. “We wanted to make album that seemed to have been discovered in an elephant’s graveyard, a place where the great ideas that slipped just out of reach when when Teo and Miles were cutting loops to make Bitches Brew, or when Hendrix was visiting the Third Stone From the Sun. We wanted it to be everything that ISN'T in the photo, it is everything that made it worth taking a picture in the first place. This a longer look at a fleeting moment.”
Mungolian Jetset - When your in need
I had this next one on my mp3 player on they way to work and it was rocking my commute. Another from the Oyv! Check Rune's man's impressive discography.
King - Love & Pride (Rune Lindbaek edit)
