I had no idea that Sonic Youth had a offshoot band called Ciccone Youth. I have never been a fan but found out about it through this article.

These guys have been killing it on King Kung Foo records (Belgium) with their Uniqorn, Big Smack and Flies productions and remix work for Mutron. Their abilty to mix dark forboding layers of thick quaalude beats seep into this mix perfectly. This mix is a great representation of their sound and musical aesthetic.

Man, I love this dude's music. Rune Lindbaek one of the OG Disco Dub Vikings from Norway just released on Beatservice an entire CD filled with his remixes called 'Rune Lindbæk's N-Disko Mix.' The guys over at TAPE did a great interview with him that led me to finding out about this CD.




CD description:
N-Disko Mix is a collection of some of Rune’s remixes for Norwegian underground artists. It includes a versatile blend of styles ranging from Real Ones balkan classic ‘Bratislava’ to the proto space age disco of Lindbæk & Lindstrøm’s ‘Alien In My Pocket’ released on the legendary Modal Records (New York).
